Dear Family and Friends,
wow...mitch is going to the phillipines! thats sooo exciting and crazy! I cant even imagine trying to speak a new laguage that different from eglish and a new alphabet and teach lessons in it, the power of the gift of tongues is amazing! So ive been trying to find things to talk about for this week because there isnt too much new news to tell but heres a few things that went on. E. Mullenaux was really really sick for a few days and it was not looking good at all and our whole district thought we were going to catch it too ( because thats what had just happend to the district that left) his temperature got way high for a couple night, but luckily the last couple of days hes been a ton better. Along with that the sister in our district got a sprained ankle while playing volleyball that was pretty bad Dr. Dille has seen a ton of our district this week haha. But she and Mully are doing tons better already. This week we also went to the police station to finsih becoming legal, it is a pretty nice building, and the lady that did my papers thought i looked liked Tom Criuse and literally everyone thinks that our sister ( Sis Elis-Sherinian) looks exactly like Lindsay Lohan...which she does...So no worries anyone im legal now in Brazil, oh and i found out that most of the poilice are kinda corrupt because they deal drugs...which supposedly they do to keep the economy good......haha yeah not quite the same type of police force as the US. So heres something cool, on sunday President Martinez spoke to us all, hes the mission pres of the Sao Paulo Norte (North) mission and he was the FIRST black man to serve a mission! which i thought was soooo cool, and so of course i had to go shake his hand, it reminded me of dad and how he was also on a mission when that reveltion was given. way cool! so i feel pretty safe here in brazil which is good but a couple nights ago i was looking out my window and three cars drove by and i heard 3 gun shots go off! i didnt hear where the bullets hit or anything but i ducked down just cuz it kind ascared me, me and elder Mully looked at eachother and started laughing because we were trying to figure out whether the cars made that noise or somebody lost control of their gun haha... weird. The Ctm is great but Going to Recife is going to be even cooler, and harder! So hurah for my last email from the CTM!
I love you all!
