Hey!
Its good to hear that everyone is doing well at home, and Allie and her friends and Mom had a good time in California and Mom and Dad had a good time at the cabin with all the good ol neighbors from back in the day!
It's also interesting hearing about the polls between Obama and Romney. It will be exciting to here how it all turns out. It's great to hear that Mom is a ward missionary. It sounds like that was just the calling she was and wanting!
As for Sao Jose da Coroa Grande…This last week was pretty crazy here getting Elder Cavalcanti all ready to leave for home. It was actually pretty sad. Sunday was his farewell though and a ton of people showed up at the church to hear his last talk. If we always had that many people each Sunday we would have a ward here instead of a branch. After church we had a great big lunch. Everyone brought something to eat and it was so good. Brazilian food is amazing!
This week consisted of a lot of figuring out stuff on the computer and finishing all we needed in respect to the branch finances. We got pretty behind while the Internet and printer were down for the last 2 and a half months. But we got most of it figured out. Yesterday Elder Cavalcanti said his good-byes and we headed to Recife to sleep at the executive secretaries apartment until transfers the next morning. We had a good time there, and they mentioned that I had a big stack of letters waiting for me in the office. We live far from Recife so we get our letters every once in a while. They forgot to bring them to transfers from the office so I'll get them maybe next week. As for my new companion, his name is Elder Régio and way cool. He is from Sao Paulo (the Utah of Brazil). All of his family are members and he has 1 year and 7 months on his mission so he knows what he is doing. I know he will be a great help to get this branch growing. It will be a little strange for the people here without Elder Caval. He had been here for the past year!
My Portuguese is getting lots better and everything is getting better. I'm loving this place!!! Not too much incredibly interesting has happened, most of the same thing, but I am getting to love the people here more and more!
